Swine: A better understanding of the impact of PRRS on reproduction
University of Saskatchewan researchers are investigating the reproductive impacts of Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome on pig fetuses. Specifically, the team wants to know why a fetus is not susceptible to infection before the 70th day of gestation but can be aborted or stillborn as a result of the disease if infection happens in the later stages of pregnancy.
