Small ruminants: Husbandry practices, not herd size increases PPRV risk

Research from Penn State University has found that the transmission risk of Peste des Petits Ruminants Virus (PPRV), which threatens 80% of the world’s sheep and goats, is increased not through herd size but rather through husbandry practices. Examples include introducing new animals to a herd or participating in seasonal grazing camps.
