Feed: From food waste to animal feed

A Dutch company has developed fermentation technology to produce fatty acids from fruit and vegetable waste for inclusion into animal feed. The main product currently is Caproic acid, which boosts gut health and reduces the need for antibiotics. The company spun out of technology invented at Wageningen University in the Netherlands.
