Dairy: New DNA-test for rapid A1 detection in milk

A Swiss biotech company has developed a quick, reliable way to identify the presence of A1 beta-casein in milk. The DNA-based test can verify the purity of A2 milk, a premium product increasingly in demand by consumers with sensitivities to “regular” cow’s milk.
